Angleški opis: Institution (peoples' university) offering all types of mainly part-time educational programmes and training for youth and adults: basic education , vocational education, technical upper secondary education, programmes of post-secondary vocational education and general secondary education programmes and different training and specialisation programmes. Admission requirements for publicly recognised educational programmes for adults are the same as admission requirements for the youth. The Ministry of Education and Sport has overall responsibility for these public state and municipal subsidised institutions. They are non-denominational. For educational programmes fully financed from public funds, it cannot charge fees. For educational programmes co-financed from public funds, contributions by students are reduced by the corresponding percentage. Fees for all other adult education programmes are payable. The term used till 1991 was "delavska univerza" (workers’ university).
